Wax, Or Is It Wane?: A New Form Of Marijuana Is On The Scene

17 Dec

Wax

Wax, Butter, Honeycomb. Sounds so innocent. But regardless of what it’s called, this is a new and powerful Mary Jane that makes smoking a joint seem almost pedestrian. Easily hidden, easily used, and its effects can last all day.

It looks like lip balm—-or wax—-thus the moniker—but contains very high levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Oh yeah, an instructions for making it can be found on the internet.

What will the think of next?

I hadn’t heard about this yet — interesting. And since the THC is highly concentrated, potentially dangerous.:-/

Already there have been many explosions because of people making hash oil. It is a very stupid thing to try at home and anywhere that is not properly set up and ventilated. Here in WA the first female mayor of one of our major cities, Bellevue, recently died of injuries related to just such an explosion. We also had an explosion in Kirkland which did massive damage to the apartment two knuckleheads were making it in. See this Seattle Times article for more, http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2022868147_hashfiresxml.html.

Just because marijuana is legal in WA, like CO, it doesn’t mean that hash oil production is. The guys who blew apart the Kirkland apartment are now facing federal charges, http://www.kirklandreporter.com/news/268350622.html. Legalization now means that people wanting to manufacture these products need to apply for the proper permits, etc. that other businesses need to have. So it’s a very dumb thing to try on your own for several reasons, most importantly the danger you put others in. Google “hash oil explosions” and you’ll find some grisly news photos including of flesh melting off people’s bodies.
