    I read the story elsewhere or I wouldn’t have made the connection between the man and the dog. Did some content get left out, or a glitch eat it?

      I’m not sure what you are asking in regards to missing content. But the connection is: Dog bit intruder, police realize this and swab dog’s mouth for DNA, lab finds DNA that matches Stoddard’s DNA on file from another arrest. So dog bit Stoddard. Even if Stoddard “chooses” not to remember it.
