Another Potential Serial Killer or Just a Spoiled Brat?

17 Jul

What the hell is wrong with kids today? Can’t they simply toilet paper someone’s yard for kicks? Why harm innocent animals? On the heels of the Tyler Weinman case down in Florida, NY has now entered the cruel and unusual animal killing fray.

Cheyenne Cherry. Such a pretty name. Such an innocent face. Book? Cover? Angry and impulsive or seriously psychopathic? Maybe both?

05_Flatbed_2 - JUNE

Cheyenne just pled guilty to burglary and baking a cat to death in a 500-degree oven. Just a joke according to the 17-year-old. Some joke. When confronted by pet activists outside the courtroom Cheyenne stuck out her tongue and said, “It’s dead, bitch.”

What the hell is going on?

Unfortunately, animal cruelty seems to be on the rise among female teens. Disgusted to hear about the cat in the oven case…these are people with no heart, so soul and no conscience. Wonder what the future holds for Cheyenne?

My God! This calls to mind something from the 1960’s (I think) memory, like eye-witness accounts, being highly unreliable. Somebody eventually run down after a brief deadly killing/robbery spree. When killed this individual was revealed by a family member to have killed and tortured several neightborhood cats, including the use of a hot oven.

When I read this story yesterday, I mentally labeled her “probably serial killer.” She’s not new to animal crimes, shows no remorse, and gets off with a slap on the wrist. Are they just waiting for her to torture/kill a human being?

I’m truly sickened by this. I have pets, two cats included. I find it heartbreaking that she could prey on something so helpless. And that’s what things have come down to.She’s a preditor. I’m becoming more and more concerned by our justice system too.
At school when a child is exhibiting behaviors that are unexceptable we are consistent with the behavior modifications we use and come down on them from the very first. 9 times out of 10 it works.
In our justice system perpetrators are taught that they can get away with things four, five , twenty times before they are punished for them. The lessons would be better learned if they were hammered the first time and they might decide that they didn’t want a second dose.

As long as plea bargaining is a part of our system, this is what will always happen.

Sadly, without plea bargains the whole justice system would get so bogged down, it would take years, if not decades to clear the dockets of active cases, never mind all the new ones constantly coming down the pike. I agree the system is way too lenient on so many levels, and animal cruelty is one of the top offenders, but abolishing plea bargains is not going to fix the problem.

I won’t even get into the fact that there are too few jails to hold the prisoners in jail now, they have to keep releasing them to make room for new ones.

In some ways I think the whole system in broken.

Woo00000oooo — I’m getting so creeped out by things like this I’m beginning to think we’ve been invaded by body snatchers. Seriously. Well … half-seriously anyway. The violence in today’s society is a jolt — the case in Florida is just one example. Here in Oklahoma the news is one long llitany of home invasions and killing children. The photos of toddlers who were beaten to death, or more recently drowned in a lake, just tears my heart out. Who ARE those people who do such things?

Too bad we don’t have a system like in the movie Minority Report. They could go ahead and lock her up now for all the future crimes she will commit. Save some lives and the tax payers some money in having some lawyer try to defend her….

For now just say sociopath. This brat has several priors including armed
    robbery.

This is a horrible, horrible story.  The kitten was two months old.  The
woman who owned the kitten was 19 and living on her own. Her and Cheyenne
had a relationship, she kicked Cheyenne out and Cheyenne returned with a 14
year old accomplice (and  single mother) trashed the place and put the
    kitten in the oven.

Where are the parents of these kids?  Why aren’t these kids in school?  And
who is the father of the 14 year old and why wasn’t he prosecuted for
statutory rape?  Why was no intervention done when Cherry committed armed
    robbery last year?

I work in the Bronx so it hit close to home.  I know the neighborhood where
it happened.   In my opinion the judicial system has failed.

Will she become a serial killer? I doubt she will live that long, or is
even sophisticated enough.  Some gang will recruit her for some nasty deed
since she has proven how cruel she is. Eventually she will become a problem
for them and they will dump her in the river.  That is if some PETA
activist doesn’t get to her first.
